Steps

  1. Cook fettuccine.
  2. In a cook-and-serve pan, place 2/3 cup of cream and all the butter. Simmer over low heat for about 1 minute until butter and cream have thickened slightly.
  3. Remove from heat, add drained fettucine to pan, and return to stove on low heat.
  4. Toss fettucine coating with sauce.
  5. Add rest of cream, grated cheese, salt, and nutmeg.
  6. Toss briefly until sace has thickened.
  7. Serve immediately with fresh ground pepper.

  • pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • pinch nutmeg
