halved and cooked – 1 hour in 250° oven or poach and use broth for soup

Instructions
Cook broccoli and drain.
Melt butter.
Blend in flour, 1/2 tsp salt and pepper to tast, and chicken broth.
Cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles.
Stir in cream and wine.
Place broccoli crosswise in 9×12 baking dish.
Pour half the sauce over top with chicken.
To remaining sauce: add cheese.
Pour over chicken.
Sprinkle with added cheese.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
Broil just until sauce is golden (about 5 minutes).
