Tenn Pride Hash Brown Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar
  • 1 can can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz container French onion dip
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • ¼ cup each red and green pepper if desired
  • 30 oz pkg frozen hash browns thawed
  • salt and pepper

Method
 

  1. Cook sausage until brown. Drain well.
  2. In large bowl combine other ingredients except potatoes. Then fold in potatoes.
  3. Mix well. Spread ½ potato mixture over bottom of 9 x 13 greased dish. Spread ½ sausage over that. Repeat layering.
  4. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour or until casserole is golden brown.
  5. Cover and bake for 45 minutes then uncover for 10 minutes or so.
