CRUST: In a medium bowl, cut butter in chunks.
Add brown sugar and flour, beat at low speed.
Continue beating at medium speed, scraping sides of bowl often.
Reserve 1/2 c crumb mixture for topping.
Press remaining crumb mixture into an 8" square pan.
Bake at 350ยฐ for 10-12 minutes.
FILLING: Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and lemon juice at medium speed until fluffy (1-2 minutes).
Stir in chopped cherries.
Spread filling over crust, sprinkling with remaining crumb mixture.
Bake 18-20 minutes or until filling is set and slightly browned.
Cool.
Store in regrigerator.
