Stuffing for Turkey

For 15-12 lb turkey.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 c diced celery
  • 2 c diced onion
  • 2/3 c butter or 1 stick
  • 5 c broth or water
  • 2 pkg unseasoned croutons stuffing cubes
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2-1 apple chopped
  • 1/2-1 granny smith apple chopped
  • 1 c chopped nuts walnut or pecan
  • 1 c raisins
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 lb raw Jimmy Dean sausage

Instructions
 

  • Saute onion, celery, thym, and rosemary in melted butter until onion and celery is tender.
  • Mix croutons, onion, celery, eggs, nuts, apples, raisins, and sausage in large mixing bowl until thoroughly mixed, moistening as needed with the broth.
  • Bake in turkey cavity and neck or in baking dish at 350° for 45 minutes.
