Pasta & Beans (Pasta e Fagioli)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp corn oil
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 can Northern beans
  • 1 small can tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Pasta uncooked
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Brown garlic in oil.
  2. Put in tomatoes and cook at least 20 minutes.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add beans and simmer about 15 minutes.
  4. If too dry, add a little water.
  5. Cook pasta to tenderness desired then drain.
  6. Add pasta to beans.

Notes

Variations: 1 lb sausage, 1/2 stick pepperoni (these can be added to increase flavor).
