Pasta & Beans (Pasta e Fagioli)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp corn oil
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 can Northern beans
  • 1 small can tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Pasta uncooked
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Brown garlic in oil.
  • Put in tomatoes and cook at least 20 minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. Add beans and simmer about 15 minutes.
  • If too dry, add a little water.
  • Cook pasta to tenderness desired then drain.
  • Add pasta to beans.

Notes

Variations: 1 lb sausage, 1/2 stick pepperoni (these can be added to increase flavor).
