Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 ยฝ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1 t soda
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 T cinnamon (for filling)
  • 3 T sugar (for filling)
  • ยผ cup chopped nuts if desired (for filling)
  • 3 T sugar (for filling)
  • ยผ cup chopped nuts if desired (for filling)

Method
 

  1. Mix coffee cake ingredients together.  Pour half the batter into a greased bundt pan or a 9 x 13 dish.  Sprinkle half of filling over batter.  Add remaining batter, sprinkle with rest of filling. Then cut through the batter several times with a knife.
  2. Bake at 350 30 minutes for 9 x 13.  Longer for bundt pan.  Check for doneness with a toothpick.
