Strawberry Jam

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 pkg Sure Jell
  • 1 qt ripe strawberries
  • ¾ cup water

Method
 

  1. Crush berries—add sugar and stir well. 
  2. Mix Sure Jell and water in small sauce pan.
  3. Boil 1 minute stirring constantly.  Stir this into strawberries.  Continue stirring 3 minutes. 
  4. Ladle into clean jars.  Cover tightly. 
  5. Leave at room temperature for 24 hours, then place in freezer.
