Steps
Cook sausage until brown. Drain well.
In large bowl combine other ingredients except potatoes. Then fold in potatoes.
Mix well. Spread ½ potato mixture over bottom of 9 x 13 greased dish. Spread ½ sausage over that. Repeat layering.
Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour or until casserole is golden brown.
Cover and bake for 45 minutes then uncover for 10 minutes or so.
Ingredients
2 lbs sausage
2 c shredded cheddar
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c sour cream
8 oz container French onion dip
1 c chopped onion
0.25 c each red and green pepper, if desired
30 oz pkg frozen hash browns, thawed
salt and pepper
