Pineapple Cake

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 x 13” pan.
  3. In a bowl combine the dry ingredients (first 4 ingredients).
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients (last 3).
  5. Add the wet to dry and combine.
  6. Pour into greased pan and bake for about 25-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to fully cool and top with homemade buttercream icing or ready-made icing.

Ingredients

  • 2 c + 1 T flour
  • 0.75 c sugar
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 0.25 t salt
  • 1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple in juice, use juice too
  • 0.5 c applesauce
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • buttercream icing
